Goodbye Elisabeth You were the best mother From a Daughter , a Son , and I speak for my Brother! From Richard your Husband , there's too much to say A lifetime of love he will say it his own way : "Elisabeth, my wife and best friend for 60 years. As a young Soldier she thought I was rich and I knew she was beautiful and The one for me. We headed to the local office of the Peace and With a translator present along with my best friend, Jack, Liz and I Said our " we do's" in English and in German. We moved 20 times in our first 30 years together and lIz kept the Family and household in order. Liz was an orphan and it later showed as her 3 children, 3 grand Children and one Great Grandchild were her whole life and she shared Her love for each with the same zeal. As Liz and I headed into retirement, we settled into our home in Tigard And the yard with her rock garden, roses, vegetable garden, and blue Berry bushes became her "heaven on earth". She loved her outings and the bingo parlor and nearby casino were Always her way of getting out and enjoying life. For the last 14 years Of her life, Liz didn't want to cook anymore and we spent every day At Bannings Restaurant in Tigard. The owner, Mark Banning treated Her like a queen as did all of the servers - men and women who all Quickly became her best friends. Unfortunately, on September 11 2016, Liz had a terrible stroke and it Left her paralyzed on the right side. She was bed bound for the last 2 years and I , her husband was at her side as her caregiver up until the Very end. Liz's heart finally gave out as she was very ill the last 3 months Of her life. She is now in heaven along her son Richard Jr, who preceded Her in death in 2015. Here is my last rose for you my love, rest comfortably In the hands of our Lord and Savior. " Life's not the same , We are sure to miss Your heart and your love , so glad we got our last kiss We say goodbye for now , you fought the best fight With all of our love ,and with this candle light! "WITH ALL OUR LOVE " DAD / CHRISTIE / RICHARD JR. / BOBBY RICHARD DAVIES / MELISSA DAVIES / TYLER MULLER / TRENT MULLER MORGAN SHAFER Words from your Granddaughter: “ There were times I felt like no one would understand and no one cared but on warm summer days by her rose garden we would lay in her hammock and I'd tell her my feelings and she would just say Oh Melis. She would take me on adventures and I developed a love of garage sales. I have so much to say but what means the most is, She saw the good in me and loved me when I couldn't. I'm happy her last visit she finally got to see her wish. That I found a good man ( she always asked about my love life) and she got to see Morgan Mike and I as a family. I love my grandma so much. She will always be in my heart and mind. She has since I was a little girl. “
