Obituary of Donald Hugh Hemingway
Donald Hugh Hemingway, son of Donald Hugh DeLoach Jr. (deceased) and Pamela G. Hemingway, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday May 2, 2019. He was born August 18, 1965 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Don is survived by his wife, Deborah Dahme; his mother, Pamela Hemingway; his step children Stephanie Horton, Jessica (Horton) Fischl (Jeremy), Travis Horton; his sisters, Stephanie Ann Hemingway and London DeLoach; and Brothers, Jere Suter (Ruth) and Conner DeLoach. He is a graduate of North Springs High School in Atlanta, Georgia and attended The University of West Georgia. He received his Associates Degree in Heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance technology from North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville, Georgia. He was a member of the basketball team at North Georgia. Since moving to Oregon, Don has worked in lumber and mill work sales. ProBuild (formerly Lumbermans) in Clackamas, and Home Depot in Clackamas where he became one of the top mill work salesmen. He currently worked for Lowe’s in Tigard. Don was a loving son, brother, nephew, husband and wonderful grandfather. He was an avid football and basketball fan and enjoyed most spectator sports. He excelled at soccer and basketball in his younger days. He will be missed by all, but especially his faithful dog, Harley. There is a Memorial planned on October 20 at Seaside Beach, Oregon at 3pm, where his ashes will be spread along the coastal shore. All are welcome to celebrate his life and enjoy his favorite food, bar-b-que.
