Obituary of Paul Reimann

It is with profound sadness the family of Paul Edmond “Ed” Reimann announce his passing on Nov. 29, 2018. Cause of death progressive, non-relapsing MS and diabetes. Ed was first child and only son born to Paul and Lola Reimann on Sept. 22, 1937 in New Hall CA. He was joined by his two loving sisters. Ed was thought of as the spiritual leader of our family. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton and spent his career employed by several aerospace and various manufacturing companies in California and Oregon. He was management, purchasing and quality control manager, planning and consulting. He also taught purchasing ethics. For several years Ed served on the Board of Directors of Rock West training center. Ed enjoyed volunteering at several local charities. He belonged to NAPM (now ISM) and also APICS. Groups formed to teach and promote ethical purchasing practices where Ed rose to the position of vice-president. He met many interesting people from other countries and cultures during his career. Ed was also a Navy veteran. He loved the ocean, especially the Oregon Coast and spent many happy hours with son Pat on field trips to the shore. Ed loved all of his children, his two sisters Arleen and Jan, his spouse of 44 years Connie, and his cats Punkin and Biscuit. Ed daily enjoyed playing sports. He especially loved football and golf. He was always a winner at Sudoku and solitaire. Ed is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Connie, and his, mine and our seven children. Sons: Ron “Woody” Reimann, Patrick (Maegan) Reimann, Robert Rogers; Daughters: Elaine (Larry) Myers, Lisa (Art) Gonzales, Brynn (Tobin) Guthrie, Yvonne (Mario) Luna; thirteen grandchildren: (another on the way) Jon, Chris, Steven, Ashly, Acacia, Samantha, Bleu, Jaida, Ruby-Joy, Felicity, Haley, Avery, and Josephine; and four Great Grandchildren with two more on the way. Ed is also survived by his two dear sisters, Arleen (Eric) Coleson and Jan Buss, both of New Mexico; four loving nephews and many cousins. Ed is also survived by his best friend and confidante Sid Brown. Full military burial will be held in June at Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements under care of Autumn Funerals, Cremation and Burial. Remembrances in Ed’s memory to Meals on Wheels Tigard, OR or to any no kill cat shelter.
