Obituary of Mary Lou Broer Klagge
Mary Lou Broer Klagge was born in The Dalles, Oregon, on March 13, 1958 to parents John Melvin Broer and Betty Jean Broer. She was surrounded by family and friends when she entered the presence of Jesus on July 9, 2018, joining her dad, grandparents, and sister-in-law Kelly in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Kevin, son Brian and his wife Charlotte, son Kevin, step daughter LeeAnne, mother Betty, brother John and his wife Nancy, sister Sue and her husband Ed, brother Dave, and her dog Chester. Mary Lou shared her love fiercely and endlessly with family and friends, and extended this love into the classroom, where she taught elementary special education for over 30 years. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed nature, hiking, and animals, and her favorite destination was the traditional family trip to South Twin Lake each summer. Each of us has been blessed by the gift of Mary Lou sharing her life with all of us. She will be forever missed, and never forgotten. A service will be held for Mary Lou at 1pm on Saturday, July 14th, 2018, at Hillcrest Bible Church (4747 SW Cameron Road, Portland, OR 97221.) Fellowship and refreshments to follow.
