Obituary of Beatrice Gomes Neves
Beatrice Gomes Neves passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30 of natural causes. Beatrice grew up in Hawaii. As an adult, she followed her sister to California where she married Leonard Neves of Honolulu. They moved to Oregon in 1970 with their two children, Linda and Michael. Beatrice was an avid seamstress and quilter. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and caring for her family. Her favorite song in recent years was Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin. Beatrice is preceded in death by her spouse, Leonard Alfred Neves. She is survived by her children Linda Neves Firth and Michael Leonard neves; her siblings Tom Gomes, Harry Gomes, Roy Gomes, and Eleanor Bodine; her six grand-children; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton, Oregon at 11:00 am on Friday, November 9. There will be a reception to follow.
