Obituary of Patrice Elizabeth Ekland
Patrice Elizabeth Ekland passed away on December 2, 2018 after a valiant 3 year battle with cancer, joining her mother, Patricia, in Heaven. Patrice was born on July 9th, 1956 in Tacoma Washington and spent most of her adult life in Des Moines and Kirkland, Washington. She moved to Beaverton, Oregon in 2015. Patrice, known affectionately to many as PeeWee, had many interests. She loved animals. She also loved cooking shows and fancied herself as a bit of a foodie. But her real interest was in reading True Crime novels. She believed her reading allowed her to hone a knack for solving cases. She used her knowledge, via Facebook, to interact with local law enforcement on cases that appeared to be difficult to solve and also helped to spread the word about missing loved ones. Patrice will always be remembered by her family and friends as a gentle, loving person who lived her life with dignity and offered quiet kindness to everyone she met. Patrice is survived by her siblings, Sheri, Marta, Melissa (Daryl), Alan (Sandra), Robyn (Gary), her special friend Doug, along with nieces Jill (Garret), Lauren (Trevor) and Ellen, grandniece Ciana and nephews Bo, Bryce and MJ and grandnephew Gavin. She is also remembered by her best friend Mark. A celebration of life will be held in January 2019.
