Obituary of Anne S. Begg
Anne Strohfield Begg was born February 23, 1930 at Aurora, Missouri. Her parents were Edward and Elma Strohfield. She spent much of her early years with her grandparents at Billings, Missouri. When she was a teenager, she moved with her parents to Oklahoma. She graduated from Central High School in 1948. She married Jack L. Rushing and had 3 children, Sharon Kaye, Jack Michael, and Edward Carl "Pete." She attended Hill Business University and obtained a job as a medical secretary. She was offered training EEG tech. Her training included St. Anthony OKC, Oklahoma University Hospital OKC, Children's Hospital OKC, VA Hospital OKC, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and Duke University in Durham, NC. She was the first in Oklahoma to obtain registry as an EEG Technologist. She taught other trainees in her field. She went on to become a Registered Neurologic Technologist. She married a second time to Willard E. Begg, the love of her life. Together they established Aero Medical Application and Services. The business provided portable EEG services to outlying OKC hospitals. They also manufactured Neurological supplies, which were eventually sold throughout the world. This afforded them travel throughout the USA and other parts of the world, principally Europe. The business was sold in 1991. They retired to Oregon, living in LaPine, Coos Bay and Portland.In a 35' Dolphin RV, they traveled the USA, visiting 49 states, their capitals, and most of the provinces in Canada. Hawaii and its capital were visited. She was a member of Vermont Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter, Sharon (Sky) and son Jack Michael, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister Patsy Henderson in Pierre, SD and brother Robert Strohfield in Combes, TX.
