Obituary of Edmund Alva Healy
Age 88 years, 10 months and 7 days His parents were Melvin Ross “Ross” Healy and Ada I Hardman Healy Rupprecht. He was born at their home in Redmond Oregon. They lived in Nyssa, Hood River and Portland while he was growing up. During high school he worked at B.P John furniture factory in Portland. After High school he went into the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in North Africa. After his honorable discharge he went to school in Portland studying electronics after he finished school he got a job at Tektronix where he worked until they offered early retirement after he had been there 27+ years. Later he worked at American Packaging until he retired a second time. In 1956 he bought the home in Aloha where he lived until having to go into foster care. He married his wife Janice M. Hammerly Healy in 1965, they had two sons Zane H. Healy and Eric R. Healy. He was preceded in death by his father, son Eric, his mother and sister Jackie D Healy Powers and her husband Glen. He is survived by his wife, sister and brother in law Nick and Susan Healy Geisch, son Zane his wife Becky Childress Healy and Grandchildren Victor I., Emma G. and Andrew M. Healy who he was very proud of and enjoyed very much. He died at Danielle Wilde’s Adult Foster Care home in Tigard. There will be a Celebration of Life and internment at Valley View Cemetery in Hillsboro Oregon on 25 January 2019 at 2:00pm.
